Michael Jackson & Whitney Houston's secret affair

http://www.mix106.fm/entertainment/whitney-michael

Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston had an "ultra-secret affair" that Michael never got over, according to shocking new claims made by Jackson's ex-bodyguard and confidante Matt Fiddes.

In a story that sounds like fodder for a Bodyguard sequel, Fiddes told the London Sun newspaper in a tell-all interview that the music icons were together for just two weeks in 1991, six years after Whitney's affair with Michael's brother Jermaine.

"I loved Michael so much but I finally feel it's time to get everything that horrified and upset me the years off my chest," he said. "I also know this affair will end all the myths that Michael was some kind of child molester — he was a straight man."

"One of the many stories that has never been told about Michael is that he had an ultra-secret affair with Whitney Houston that he never got over. He was furious when he heard she had also slept with Jermaine, but this didn't stop him holding a candle for her his whole life."

"Whitney practically moved into Michael's ranch and they had a fling like any other young couple. But Michael said later he had always hoped the relationship had gone further, and I know he dreamed of marrying her."

Whitney and Michael "were both a mess" when they reunited on stage in 2001 at Michael's anniversary concert in New York's Madison Square Gardens, according to Fiddes.

"They shared what would be their final hugs and Michael begged Whitney to get off the drugs that were destroying her life," he said. "The two of them whispered that they loved each other as they hugged. The emotion was written all over their faces."

That's not the only skeleton in MJ's closet, apparently. Fiddes made the explosive claim that he is actually Michael's 10-year-old son Blanket's biological father. He plans to have DNA tests to prove he is the father — but insisted it's not a "custody battle", and that he only wants to see Blanket a few times a year.

Fiddes, a millionaire mogul of a chain of martial arts schools, also alleged that Michael was an anorexic drug addict whose years of drug abuse had made him impotent.

To top it off, Fiddes claimed that Michael's mind was "re-programmed" not to think anti-Semitic thoughts after one of his doctors "filled his head with anti-Jewish propaganda".

That's a lot of allegations, it's just a shame Michael and Whitney aren't here to defend them.

http://www.mix106.fm/entertainment/kate-william

Kate and William enjoyed a relaxing Sunday with close pals in the Norfolk countryside

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge marked their one year wedding anniversary today - by celebrating someone else’s marriage.

Kate, 30, and William, 29, enjoyed a relaxing Sunday with close pals in the Norfolk countryside following the wedding of Kate’s Marlborough College school friend Hannah Gillingham to Robert Carter.

The royal couple attended Hannah and Robert’s big day on Saturday at St Andrew’s Church in Wingfield near the Suffolk-Norfolk border, where William was armed with two umbrellas to shelter from the pouring rain.

He chivalrously held one up for his wife who showed off her usual understated style in a blue lace dress by Canadian designer Erdem Moralioglu recycled from her visit to Canada last summer.

Their low-key appearance was a world away from the scenes on April 29 last year when they tied the knot in Westminster Abbey in front of a global audience of two billion.

In the year that has followed Kate has gone from plain Kate Middleton to one of the Royal Family’s greatest assets, taking on charity patronages, making her first public speech and being invited on engagements with the Queen.

Today they celebrated their one year anniversary - symbolised by the material paper - by exchanging cards and enjoying the company of their close friends.

A source said: “Even though it’s their first wedding anniversary Kate and William are not precious about the date and are thrilled to be to celebrating someone else’s marriage.

“They are very loyal to their close friends and, like any couple, want to be there for them on their big day.”

It is believed the Duke and Duchess will head home to Anglesey after the weekend where William is due on shift in his role as an RAF Search and Rescue pilot.

The Queen also braved heavy wind and driving rain today at Windsor Castle to honour 600 high-achieving Scouts.

The majority were presented with the highest Queen’s Scout Award honour while 50 received gallantry awards for outstanding bravery in saving the lives of others.

Chief Scout Bear Grylls said: “They are amazing.”

Jennifer Garners Post Baby Body!

http://www.mix106.fm/entertainment/jennifer-garner

Jennifer Garner showcased her post-pregnancy figure in a nude, loose-fitting, lace Dolce & Gabbana mini-dress at Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures' CinemaCon 2012 event in Las Vegas, almost two months after giving birth to her and husband Ben Affleck's third child and first son.

Garner, who turned 40 earlier this month, completed the look with Nicholas Kirkwood peeptoe heels and David Web jewelry. She is promoting her new film, "The Odd Life of Timothy Green," which is set for release on August 15.

The actress tends to stay out of the spotlight and this marks her first major public appearance since her and Affleck's son, Samuel, was born on February 27. She and Affleck are also parents to daughters Violet, 6, and Seraphina, 3.

The National Association of Theatre Owners convention takes place at Caesar's Palace. It began on Monday and runs through Thursday, April 26. That day, Garner is set to be presented with the "CinemaCon Female Star of the Year" Award.

The actress rose to fame playing a secret agent in the spy series "Alias" and has also appeared in movies such as "Dude, Where's My Car?" with Ashton Kutcher and "13 Going on 30" with "Avengers" star Mark Ruffalo.

"Jennifer Garner has conquered both small and big screens alike with her stunning and captivating performances," The convention's managing director, Mitch Neuhauser, said in a statement. "She can epitomize the all-American girl, but can also pack the punch of a tough action hero. Her versatility and remarkable ability to entertain audiences of all ages is impressive, and we could not be more excited to honor her with the 'CinemaCon Female Star of the Year' Award."

In "The Odd Life of Timothy Green," Garner and Joel Edgerton play a married couple that is unable to conceive. They write down what they want their ideal child to be like on pieces of paper, store them in a box and bury it in their garden. The next day, a young boy named Timothy, played by CJ Adams, shows up on their doorstep.

The movie is based on a story by Ahmed Zappa, who has worked with Walt Disney, the film's studio, for years.

http://www.mix106.fm/entertainment/adele-grammy

Though a devastating split led Adele to win six awards at Sunday’s Grammys, the vocal powerhouse has vowed to “never” write “a breakup record again.”

“I’m done with being a bitter witch,” she says in the March issue of Vogue.

While the singer has never named the mystery man who broke her heart and was subsequently the subject of the chart-topping hits featured on her album 21, Adele admits he “deserves a little credit.”

“For ages I was like, As if he deserves any f–king kudos for inspiring my record,” she recalls. “But now, after some time, it only seems right that the person who so far has had the biggest impact on me — has now changed my life for f–king ever with this album — deserves a little credit.”

Adele adds, “I can do things that I never dreamed I’d be able to do. If I hadn’t met him, I think I’d still be that little girl I was when I was eighteen. And the best thing is, I now know what I want for myself and from someone else. I didn’t know what I wanted before.”

Part of what the “Someone Like You” songstress now wants is a long-lasting relationship with new beau Simon Konecki.

Calling Konecki “wonderful,” Adele says, “He’s proud of me, but he don’t care about what I do or what other people think. He looks after me. I don’t think I would have gotten through the recovery for my surgery if it hadn’t been for him.”

Adele also reveals she had a few celebrity pals help her through her recent medical ordeal, including John Mayer, who also had surgery on his vocal chords, as well as Steven Tyler and Elton John.

With the trauma mostly behind her, Adele is looking to the (relatively far off) future when she can lead a quieter life.

“If I am constantly working, my relationships fail. So at least now I can have enough time to write a happy record. And be in love and be happy,” she says.

“And then I don’t know what I’ll do,” she adds. “Get married. Have some kids. Plant a nice vegetable patch.”

http://www.mix106.fm/entertainment/magda-szubanski

MAGDA Szubanski is making an impassioned Valentine's Day plea for gay marriage to be legalised as she made revelations of her own sexuality.

The comedian has dramatically thrown her celebrity behind the fight for marriage equality.

"I am 1000 per cent in favour of gay marriage," Szubanski said.

"We pay taxes, fight wars for this country, nurse you when you are sick, make you laugh, sing and dance for you, play netball for you, star in your movies, cook your meals, decorate your store windows.

"And, chances are, gay people designed whatever it is you're wearing.

"All Australians, including gay Australians, should have exactly the same rights, including the right to love, marry and take care of our partners."

The Kath & Kim star said the law was unfair.

"The law means that you could be a serial killer and have killed all of your spouses and yet you would still be considered fit to marry," she said.

"But if you are gay, then you are not worthy of these same rights."

Szubanski's publicist said the ambiguously worded statement was intended to confirm the star is gay, but she is not in a relationship at the moment.

She is expected to discuss the issue on Channel 10's The Project tonight.

Her plea follows the introduction of two private member's Bills, which seek to change the Marriage Act 1961 to define marriage as the union of two people, regardless of sex.

One amendment was brought by Labor MP Stephen Jones and the other by Green Adam Bandt and independent Andrew Wilkie.

Meryl Streep may have picked up the Best Actress trophy at Sunday's BAFTA Awards, but she lost a shoe!

As the actress, who nabbed an award for her work in "The Iron Lady," ran on stage to accept her statue, her shoe fell off.

Not wanting to slow down the show, she kept going -- only to have presenter Colin Firth fetch it for her and place it on her foot, like Cinderella.

For his act of gallantry, Firth received a kiss from Meryl and applause from the audience -- before Streep joked "That couldn't be worse. That couldn't have gone worse. Oh gosh."

Just ask Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The actor-turned-politician-turned-actor seemed positively delighted to run into pal Sylvester Stallone while both were hospitalized for procedures.

Schwarzenegger even posted a photo on his WhoSay account Wednesday showing the pair smiling and chatting while shirtless and laying in their hospital beds.

Stallone can be seen with an IV in his hand, while Schwarzenegger has his right arm in a sling.

“After all the action, stunts & physical abuse shooting The Expendables 2 and The Last Stand, it was time for a little tune up on my shoulder,” Schwarzenegger explained in the photo caption.

He added, “Look who was coincidentally waiting in line behind me for his shoulder surgery. Now we’re ready for another round of great times and action when we shoot The Tomb.

http://www.mix106.fm/entertainment/adele-vocal

The big narrative going into this Sunday’s Grammy Awards is the return of Adele. Her slated performance marks a comeback from throat surgery and a disappearance from the public eye while her album and singles have continued to dominate charts around the world.

This Sunday, CBS’ 60 Minutes will lead into the Grammys telecast with an interview of Adele conducted by Anderson Cooper (last year in this same slot, he took on Lady Gaga).

In the first preview clip posted on the CBS News website, Adele walks Cooper through the surgery (which involved lasers) and her recovery period, which required her to be on vocal rest for the better part of two months. She communicated via pad and paper, as well as a series of phone apps that spoke for her.

The multiple apps were necessary, she said, because certain words simply had to get through. “The great thing is I love to swear,” she explained to Cooper. “Most of [the apps] you can’t swear on, but I found this one app where you can swear, so I’m still really getting my point across.”

Courteney Cox and David Arquette have continued to support each other since their separation in October 2010. Last month, the former couple stepped out for a celebratory dinner marking Arquette's year of sobriety. And when Arquette competed on "Dancing With the Stars" this past fall, Cox and daughter Coco cheered him on from the front row.

When Cox was a guest on Howard Stern's Sirius XM radio show Wednesday, she revealed that Arquette has been encouraging her to embrace single life: "He says to me, 'Courteney, it's time. Get out there.' He wants me to date now. He wants me to start my life, and he's comfortable with whoever that would be [with]."

But the 47-year-old "Cougar Town" actress admits she's not ready to re-enter the dating game, and has been celibate since her marriage ended. "I have not had a man since David ... No guy has asked me out," she claims.

However, she assures Stern that she'll be seeking romance again soon: "Right now, I'm not quite ready to date. I'm getting closer ... as things become more final in my life with David."

Proud parents Beyonce and Jay-Z are already protecting their brand-new baby, Blue Ivy Carter, in ways most moms and dads never need to consider.

The superstar couple has filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to trademark their daughter’s name.

Their request comes after at least two other people sought to profit off of Blue Ivy’s name in the days immediately following her birth.
According to the Washington Post, Beyonce’s BGK Trademark Holdings company filed the application on January 26.

On January 11, a fashion designer named Joseph Mbeh submitted his own application for “Blue Ivy Carter NYC”; nine days later, a separate entity attempted to trademark “Blue Ivy Carter Glory IV” for fragrances.

Both filings were denied, with the Patent and Trademark Office ruling that the name belonged to a “very famous infant.”

Beyonce and Jay-Z’s own application is pending – but expected to be approved.

She may be going through a tough time, but Heidi Klum looked nothing less than stellar when she stepped out Wednesday night for her first official appearance since her split from Seal.

Klum attended the New York for the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) gala and smiled shyly on the red carpet for photos. However, just like Katy Perry at the Super Bowl, she smartly avoided talking to the press.

The fashion-forward Klum donned a long Roberto Cavalli gown -- and, yes, her wedding ring -- for the gala, but opted to wear a black pantsuit for the after-party at Double Seven, according to Us Weekly.

While we've gotten a few glimpses of Klum since she and her husband of seven years, Seal, announced their separation last month, Wednesday night was the first time she's officially stepped back into the public spotlight.

Seal, however, has been promoting his new album, "Soul 2," and was making the press rounds amid all the divorce chatter last month.

While they may be separated, it seems the couple isn't ready to officially move on just yet. Both Klum and Seal have been photographed wearing their respective wedding rings ever since the separation news broke.

The British comedian – who is to present the Golden Globe Awards for the
second year running next month – explained while he only takes on
projects that have the potential to “end” his career, he doesn’t
anticipate hosting the ceremony will be problematic.

He said: “What’s the worst that can happen? I only do things that can end my career - that’s the fun, that’s my extreme sport.
“I think if you get final edit, which I do and I demand, and you get your own way and you’re happy with what you’ve done, nothing else matters. You’re bulletproof.”

Ricky – who faced an avalanche of criticism last year after insulting the likes of Robert Downey Jr. and Johnny Depp during the ceremony – insists he’s “not trying to hurt anyone’s feelings” with his gags, and claims the subject of his previous jokes are “cool” with him.

Speaking at the HBO Television Critics Association Winter 2012 Session, he added to ‘Access Hollywood’: “I’ve got nothing against any of those people in the room. I’ve worked with many of them, I like many of them, I admire most of them."

“They’re just gags, I’m not trying to hurt anyone’s feelings or give them a bad night or undermine the moral fabric of America. I’m a comedian.”
“I think that everyone took it well [last year]. I don’t know who was really outraged last year, ‘cause everyone I spoke to, who I made a joke about, was cool with it.”
