Cam Sullings

Cam Sullings

‘Back in the Day’ a heavily pregnant Pamela Sullings was part of the studio audience for her husband Keith’s one night only appearance on Sale of the Century.

At the end of the second Fame Game, Pam felt a sharp kick and she knew her first child was well on route.

With the hospital too far away an emergency birth took place at the Channel 9 studios. Looking down and overseeing the commotion (by way of their large publicity photo’s hanging in the foyer) was the Great Ritchie Benaud, Kenny Sutcliffe and Ray warren.

The moment was blessed and the magic passed on. Cam can now be heard captaining the Mix106.3 Balls’n’All team each Saturday morning.

Teams supported…
Anyone out there giving it a Red Hot Go.

Favourite moment(s) in Sport…
Kieren Perkins Gold Medal in Atlanta. Such a massive moment. I listened to most of it on the radio in the car and got home just in time to watch him touch the wall on the tele. Of all the great elements of that swim, surly none would have been more satisfying to Kieren than being able to turn around to the (many) critics and just flipping them the bird!!

Personal Sporting Achievement…
Captaining the U/9 Oatley Grass Hoppers. Totally by default as the captaincy was rotated by the coach to a different player each week so everyone got a turn. It was still a proud moment and I made sure mum ironed extra creases into my jersey that week. Junior ra ra at its height.

How many Weet-Bix?
These days a sad 4.
Sporting Dream…
End my run of 3 putts.

Ben Pollack

Ben Pollack

If it needs balls, bats or sticks, the chances are Ben will have a crack at it. His claim to fame is being part of the Gundagai Tigers Premiership winning under 18’s team at centre in 1999, but his stats on the day reveal just three hit-ups, four tackles and five missed tackles.

These days you’ll find Ben on the touch footy and OzTag field, playing mixed netball (providing he gets to play Goal Shooter), or taking Alan Tongue through tackling drills at Raiders HQ.

Ben has been nominated for best head for radio for the last three years and hopes to one day win the award his co-host Cam Sullings has a stranglehold on.

Teams supported
Kolkata Kats (Indian Premier League), Canberra Raiders, Australian Bocce team.

Favourite moment(s) in Sport…
Raiders winning the 1994 Grand final, Steven Bradbury’s gold medal in 2002, or Shane Warne’s out for 99 (off a no ball) at the Wacca in 2001.

Personal Sporting Achievement…
44th in the ACT Curling Championships in 2002

How many Weet-Bix?
None. It clashes with my sponsorship commitments with Vita Brits.
