Karina joined the population of Canberra in the early 70’s… the very, very early 70’s, ok 1971. She (along with her brother and sister) spent most of her childhood, climbing trees in the backyard, on rollerskates or dressed in a yellow skivvy and red corduroy ‘slacks’ at Rehwinkles animal farm, trying to pat the kangaroos. In her early 20’s she headed to even colder territory, to play journalist in Cooma, then it was on to the breakfast slot in Orange for the next 5 years where she gained an appreciation for really good stone fruit and Angus cattle.
